Step 11
Drawings
Contractor-ready structural drawings for the bench framing — produced as part of the design process and used by the builder. The three-page set covers both benches and a complete lumber list.
What the drawings cover
- Page 1 — Main bench (Wall A): Plan view showing the existing ledger, new 2×6 beam on edge, four 2×4 cross supports with heater clearance zone, all dimensions. Includes beam section detail inset showing on-edge orientation with load arrow.
- Page 2 — Side bench (Wall B): Same format for the side bench running the full 66″ room depth. No heater clearance needed on this bench — cross supports run the full length.
- Page 3 — Lumber list & cost: Line-item table with material, use, quantity, linear feet, rate per foot, and total cost. Includes purchasing notes and source information.
